When an electric stove doesn’t ignite, first be sure the stove is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are on. You need to check the pilot light for gas stoves. If the oven is plugged in or if the pilot light is burning in the oven, then some other part will have to be repaired. The cause of the problem might be an infinite switch, surface element, igniter or broil and bake element.
A stove or burner that doesn’t produce heat won’t do much. An oven does not heat when there’s a broken bake element or a malfunctioning oven sensor. Your burner doesn’t heat if an element is broken or the burner switch or terminal block don’t work. We can fix these issues in less than 1-2 hours after our arrival.
You can assume the control board on an oven is broken when the timer or program settings are not working. In this case, we can replace control boards on LG, Sears, GE, KitchenAid, Kenmore and many other brands and models of ranges, stoves and ovens. We offer a warranty on all of the control panels and the manufacturer parts we need for this oven repair service.
You should have a hot oven. Just not too hot! When the oven heat is out of control, it could be due to a broken sensor or thermostat. Our appliance repairmen know how to diagnose the reason for the issue and then repair it. Always be careful when troubleshooting this problem for fear of skin burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat.
A common stove issue is that an igniter glows but it won’t light. The cause is sometimes from either a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We determine whether we are able to repair these parts or if we will have to replace the part.
Modern self-cleaning ovens are known to have door issues often. The door won’t open after the cleaning cycle. We monitor the door closure, thermostat and seal to troubleshoot why the door won’t open up and then we complete the repair in order to fix the issue.
